Antibacterial Coatings

In response to the growing awareness of the impact of bacterial infection, TFS has introduced a range of high performance antibacterial coatings. It is ideal for many applications including hospitals, care homes, schools, agriculture and food production areas.

The antibacterial coatings consist of Hygienilac, an advanced formula concentrate, which is added to paints and lacquers. The coating is factory applied for consistency to suitable substrates, including plywood, MDF, OSB and cementitious boards. As a result, these boards deliver extremely high levels of protection against a wide range of infection causing bacteria.

Safe, high performance antibacterial coatings

Bacterial infections are of growing concern in all walks of life. TFS antibacterial coatings with Hygienilac are not only proven to kill 99.9% of bacteria, they are completely harmless to us. Deadly bacteria including MRSA, salmonella and E. coli all die within 24 hours of contact with the surface. The formula goes on working for up to 10 years and does not breakdown, even when exposed to UV light.

These antibacterial coatings are also non-carcinogenic and non-skin sensitising, with approvals for incidental contact with food. They are completely non-toxic and toy-safe. So you can rest assured that they are 100% safe for use in healthcare facilities, food factories and schools. As well as boards, the antibacterial coatings can also be applied to furniture. To ensure safety, Hygienilac has been fully tested and proven to be effective against a wide range of bacteria. This also includes approval by FDAS against C. difficile plus approvals by the FDA, HSE EPA and BS6250 certification for severe usage. In addition to wall panels and other surfaces, TFS antibacterial coatings are also ideal for many other uses.
