Traditionally, doors are hung as part of the second joinery fix whilst other trades are still working in the area. The doors then need to be primed, sanded and painted with several coats by hand. Even for skilled tradesmen this takes time, with associated labour costs and potential for errors. During the drying time, each coat can become contaminated by dust caused by other trades, or even accidentally damaged. Replacements or remedial work, plus the associated project delay can increase costs further.
