Product Details

TFS’s range of factory bonded acoustic panels offer a fast and time saving solution to sound insulation problems. Noise control has become a key feature of the design and construction of modern buildings. It is also a latent problem that often needs to be resolved in the refurbishment of old premises. Trade Fabrication Systems can provide various solutions designed to comply with the latest requirements, in addition to upgrades for existing installations.

As with many of TFS’s innovative fabrication products, the solution provides time and cost saving benefits in addition to installer convenience. Trade Fabrication Systems has the technology to provide a range of panel based solutions, from domestic flooring to industrial noise suppression. A wide range of substrates can be bonded to a diverse selection of noise control barriers. The resulting acoustic panels are quick and easy to install and can also be cut to size as required. This “one board” installation operation reduces time and costs compared with the separate acoustic matting and structural panels alternative.

Acoustic panels with a decorative finish

To emphasise the diversity, substrates include plasterboard and cement boards through to particleboard and even metal or rigid GRP. TFS also has access to numerous options for acoustic matting, such as popular noise control foams, extruded polystyrene and fibre. Pre-bonded acoustic panels can be supplied square edged or with a tongue and groove machined finish detail. This is particularly convenient for acoustic overlay board applications to improve acoustic performance in conversion and refurbishment projects.

Thanks to TFS’s wide ranging fabrication services, processes can be combined to create innovative solutions. Acoustic panels may also be combined with various decorative finishes including fleece backing to produce highly attractive acoustic wall panels or acoustic rafts. Manufacturing flexibility means that these special acoustic panels can be supplied in low batch quantities. Even small projects can benefit from excellent acoustic performance and superb aesthetics. Alternatively, panels can have a factory applied fire retardant coating for projects where FR performance is critical. For domestic acoustic flooring to compliant commercial ceiling panels, simply contact TFS for a bespoke, time saving solution.
