2023 – A milestone year for TFS
2023 will be a year that goes down in our history. Not only does it mark 25 years of trading, but it’s also the year that we secured the future of TFS with international expansion as we became part of the Arclin Group.
Headquartered in Atlanta,GA USA, Arclin is one of the world’s leading producers of high performance resins and innovative surface overlays. Being part of Arclin strengthens our existing offsite offering and will enable us to add even greater value to our B2B customers.
Our Managing Director Howard Morris has been a big driver of our success, continuously pushing for innovation which has seen TFS grow from servicing the peel clean floor protection market to providing a unique “one stop shop” B2B offsite solution. It is thanks to his vision and unwavering commitment that we will be entering a new era with a particular focus on expanding our lamination capability with the utilisation of overlays.
Howard joined the business in 2009, the UK Construction industry had been hit hard by the recession and he knew that the business needed to diversify if it was going to survive. His sights were set on developing TFS’s services and capabilities so that we could tap into different markets. With significant investment into machinery and research and development, we now offer CNC, machining, coating and most recently have introduced edge banding capabilities.
Since becoming Managing Director in 2018, TFS has gone from strength to strength having grown its workforce by a third, to over 50 employees, developed patented technology and now securing a significant expansion with international opportunities.
Howard said: “It’s a fantastic way to end our 25th year in business and there are lots of things that I am proud of. The team’s ability to see my vision and adapt to the changes we’ve made over the years, we’ve managed to retain our core staff whilst growing the business with new talent which is a testament to the culture we’ve created at TFS.
“Our research and development achievements as a small business have been phenomenal. It’s an exciting time. Our patent rights, combined with Arclin’s resources and support, mean there are lots of doors to be opened.
“What I am most proud of is our reputation. Since diversifying, we’ve established ourselves in multiple sectors including; site security, interior fit-outs, acoustic panel and flooring, timber decking, high performance exterior cladding and many more. We have built excellent relationships with our customers over the years and this is something we can guarantee will continue. Our management team will remain in place with Adam who has been in the business for 14 years, being promoted to Director. This will provide additional continuity and confidence to our customers.”
Reflecting on what the promotion means for him, Adam Morris said: “This is a really exciting time for myself and the business. Being promoted to Director is huge recognition and the synergies between TFS and Arclin combined with the scope and scale of Arclin opens up so many opportunities.
“I’ll still be very much front facing in my role, working with our customers and developing new relationships and I am certain there is a bright future ahead for TFS.”
After becoming part of the Arclin family, we recently welcomed Arclin’s President of EBS Matt Pogue, and Vice President of Business Strategic Initiatives Katie Hernandez to our Headquarters in Warrington to meet our people face-to-face, followed by the full Liverpool experience as we hosted them at a game at Anfield.
As we look to the future we couldn’t be more excited. Joining Arclin is a fantastic next step for TFS and we are looking forward to visiting the team in the US, in 2024.
