TFS is proud to be supporting the charity football tournament Christie’s Cup in more ways than one. 

Our General Manager Adam is not only playing in the charity match this weekend but has also donated two hospitality Liverpool Football tickets to the raffle, on behalf of TFS. 

Adam said: “It’s a fantastic cause and we hope that donating the prize will help to raise even more money for the charity. The event is an opportunity to bring the community together, get people talking about some important topics and raise awareness of a brilliant charity.”

Christie’s Cup has been organised by Steven Hamill, who was treated at the Christie Hospital after being diagnosed with penile cancer at aged 26.

He said: “The care I received from Christie’s was incredible. I saw first hand what an impact they have on the lives of so many patients and their families and they couldn’t do it without vital funds. 

I wanted to give something back to the hospital while also raising awareness of penile cancer itself. Most people know about prostate and bowel cancer, but penile cancer is much less talked about. I want to encourage more people to check for abnormalities and to seek advice if they find anything.”

Christie’s Cup takes place on Sunday 2nd July at Barton Stadium Winsford.
