Trade Fabrication Systems bolsters merchant support with team expansion

Greg Beers joins B2B offsite processor as Business Development Executive
Trade Fabrication Systems (TFS), the UK’s leading processor of wood-based panel products, has appointed Greg Beers as Business Development Executive. This newly created role is the latest in a long line of investments TFS has made in developing its value-add solutions and services for merchants.
Following the launch of its ‘one-stop-shop’ machining services which include CNC routing, T&G, edge and banding, TFS offers merchants a complete offsite solution to finish any timber substrate.
Door machining and coating services have proven particularly popular, with national and independent merchants capitalising on the benefit of expanding product choice – without increasing stock inventory. Greg has been brought on board to provide dedicated support to these customers, while helping new branches better understand the commercial advantages of offsite processing.
Howard Morris, Managing Director, TFS, explains: “We’ve made significant investment in our machining and finishing capabilities over the past few years. As merchants increasingly tap into the benefits of these services, we recognised the need to invest in specialist customer support – which is where Greg comes in. His in depth understanding of the merchant sector will enable us to keep innovating and help enhance our merchant offering even further.”
Commenting on his new role, Greg said: “This is an excellent time to be joining TFS. The solutions we can offer do genuinely deliver value to merchant ranges. I’m looking forward to getting out on the road to show existing and new customers how our offsite services can help them to create and maintain competitive advantage.”
Greg has a long track record of working in branch, sales account management and serving merchants as a supplier, giving him a unique appreciation of merchant needs. During his 17-year career, Greg’s sector specific experience has been acquired through roles with leading brands that include B&Q, Jewson and SIG.
Outside of work, Greg is an avid rugby player which he also puts to positive use as Director of Pronto. Launched at the start of 2023, Pronto is a not-for-profit organisation that raises funds for charity through sport and has already held several events this year.
