Trade Fabrication Systems marks 25-years’ trading
B2B offsite processor celebrates business anniversary by commemorating employee milestone
Trade Fabrication Systems (TFS), the UK’s leading processor of wood-based panel products, celebrates 25 years of trading this month, marking the occasion by commemorating the long service of its first employee, David Ingham, who’s been with the business since it opened in 1998.
While TFS was established to service the growing peel clean floor protection market, the company has gone on to invest more than £2 million in diversification of operations. Expanding to provide a completely unique B2B offsite solutions service, the company has recently introduced edge banding capabilities, alongside existing CNC, machining, and coating facilities.
Since joining the business in 2009, when the construction industry was emerging from one of the UK’s worst recessions, Howard Morris has been at the forefront of the move towards offsite innovation. With Howard appointed as Managing Director in 2018, TFS has gone from strength to strength and now, a quarter of a century after opening its B2B processing doors, TFS is a multi-million pound business, employing over 50 people.
As TFS’s longest serving employee, David Ingham, general production operative, shares his experience of working with the company: “TFS is a company that cares. They support you both professionally and personally, and have given me the space to grow over the last 25 years. I’ll definitely be here until I retire, why would I want to work anywhere else when I love what I do, and I love who I work with?”
To recognise David’s 25 years’ service, TFS hosted a special celebration at the Warrington headquarters in June, where Howard Morris presented him with a Silverstone superbike experience gift, while the rest of the team tucked into a anniversary cake to mark the occasion: “Hitting the 25-year milestone is an amazing achievement for the business, but we wanted to make this year’s celebrations as much about our people as it is about a successful commercial track record.”
TFS plans to continue its 25-year celebrations throughout the rest of the year, with a series of customer and industry events planned, as well as new business initiatives: “Having recently been awarded a USA patent for our TradeCoat ProteX peel clean technology, we’re looking forward to marking the milestone with our first international joint venture,” concludes Howard.
