All change at TFS as it reshapes for the future
It’s all change at TFS, the UK’s leading B2B Processor for coated and laminated wood based products, following an announcement of key appointments within the management structure. TFS was established in 1998 by Ms Jean Richardson who retired at the end of May 2018, to be succeeded at the helm by former Commercial Director Mr Howard Morris.
Howard, who joined TFS in 2009, brings a wealth of experience to his new role having been involved in the UK Construction and Timber Industries for over 40 years. This includes senior roles with Norbord (formerly Noranda Forest) and SIG Plc. Howard’s first task was to lead the development of the company following the deep recession experienced in 2008-09. He implemented changes to production and quality procedures, achieving ISO certification, before spearheading an investment programme to deliver new products.
Shaping the business for the future
Now as Managing Director, Howard is focussing on successfully guiding TFS into new markets to drive the company forward. This includes developing and delivering added value products, including BBA certified own brands. This combination of innovation and independently verified quality procedures will deliver tangible benefits to discerning clients and organisations. At the heart of this will remain the continual personal development of the TFS team, identified by Howard as the most important assets in the bsuiness.
Further change at TFS reflects Howard’s philosophy of developing the existing team, with the appointment of Adam Morris as Business Development Manager. Adam began his career at TFS on the shop floor at the age of 16, progressing to Marketing Assistant and then more recently, Marketing Manager. This new role is a natural progression for Adam, combining his responsibilities as Marketing Manager with a more commercial focus. Adam is tasked with increasing exposure of the TFS brand and providing cost effective solutions for new and existing partners.Go Back
